The best road rage I’ve ever seen was this girl screaming out of her car window “I hope you don’t fuck like you drive!” I still think about that sometimes.

ok wtf I am about to have a breakdown

I just checked statcounter and apparently some weird ass facebook bot is checking out my blog like 20 times a day

WHAT IS GOING ON IS SOMEONE PUTTING UP MY BLOG LINKS ON FB HELP

dont worry, its just your friendly neighborhood facebook making sure it knows everything about you so it can sell your identity to the government :D

and the people searching my /self /me tags…

CAN YOU NOT?

When you’re talking about drug kingpins, folks involved with violence, people are who are peddling hard drugs to our kids in our neighborhoods that are devastated, there is no doubt that we need to go after those folks hard… it makes sense for us to look at how we can make sure that our kids are discouraged from using drugs and engaging in substance abuse generally.  There is more work we can do on the public health side and the treatment side.

THEN FUCKING DO SOMETHING

→ What Rights Should Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Get and Why Does it Matter?

icymirss:

Leave aside the fact that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been convicted of nothing and is thus entitled to a presumption of innocence. The reason to care what happens to him is because how he is treated creates precedent for what the US government is empowered to do, including to US citizens on US soil. When you cheer for the erosion of his rights, you’re cheering for the erosion of your own.

RT deserves all the fucking awards for being the most up-to-date, unbiased, factually accurate and relevant news source to exist in our time. Seriously, RT covers more United States issues than ANY American news outlet. And they do it without the bias, without the fruity language, without making biased claims and pulling shit from their ass. I applaud you, RT.

They’re also run by the Russian government.

Well, who ever runs it does a good job.

You really don’t see the problem in trusting a news source run by Vladimir Putin’s government?

Shit, why not just watch Fox News and call it a day?

it thoroughly pisses me off that a woman’s period is not a valid excuse for her to miss work, school, family events, etc. i mean, depending on the person, women can experience anything from headaches to vomiting to excruciating uterine pain to back pain to fevers to nausea to severe breast tenderness to every fucking body pain imaginable and yet in our society, “i have my period” is not acceptable merely because it happens every month.

ugh.

in a lot of older societies, women were ostracized during their periods, like made to live in a specific hut for the duration of their bleeding, and did not perform their normal daily duties

In traditional Jewish society a woman was “unclean” during her time of the month simply because she was bleeding. At the end of her cycle she was required to take a Mikvah bath which was also taken after sinning. So in a way we really have come a long way in that it’s a good thing that this is actually accepted in today’s society.

Also personal opinion, but it does come every month. Other women deal with it, so it shouldn’t be just an excuse. Just like, except for extreme cases, a headache isn’t an excuse either.

Yeah, I don’t think too many people realize how far society has come.

I definitely hate periods but I dont think it is a valid reason for missing work. If you are that nauseated, then just say that, don’t say you’re bleeding from your vagina. lol

My iphone just changed “i love” to “i’d’ve”

hahahaha

i’d’ve

i love these kind of contractions, but it really threw my brain for a loop when i looked down and saw that

We were discussing homosexuality because of an allusion to it in the book we were reading, and several boys made comments such as, “That’s disgusting.” We got into the debate and eventually a boy admitted that he was terrified/disgusted when he was once sharing a taxi and the other male passenger made a pass at him. The lightbulb went off. “Oh,” I said. “I get it. See, you are afraid, because for the first time in your life you have found yourself a victim of unwanted sexual advances by someone who has the physical ability to use force against you.” The boy nodded and shuddered visibly.“But,” I continued. “As a woman, you learn to live with that from the time you are fourteen, and it never stops. We live with that fear every day of our lives. Every man walking through the parking garage the same time you are is either just a harmless stranger or a potential rapist. Every time.” The girls in the room nodded, agreeing. The boys seemed genuinely shocked. “So think about that the next time you hit on a girl. Maybe, like you in the taxi, she doesn’t actually want you to.”

Homophobia: The fear that another man will treat you like you treat women. Andrew Sullivan.

dont even need you guys, RT answered my question for me.

01:45 GMT: The public safety exception is invoked when a suspect is considered an imminent threat to law enforcement or the public. In such cases, according to the FBI, “Miranda warnings need not be provided prior to asking questions directed at neutralizing an imminent threat, and voluntary statements made in response to such narrowly tailored questions can be admitted at trial.” The traditional Miranda rules apply again once the immediate threat is eliminated.
